Janelle Gaddi dabbled in hair styling and color, serving as her high school friends “personal hairdresser”, even though she had no formal training at that point. After spending time at San Francisco State studying accounting, she realized that numbers weren’t her passion, but making people look their best was. Janelle received vigorous hands on training at Joseph Cozza Salon, celebrating her 5 year anniversary with us this month. Janelle is a very creative hair colorist, who would love the opportunity to give Donald Trump a new look. “I’d love to see people take better care of their hair. Czarina Deguzman loves her career as a hair colorist because it satisfies her desire to interact every day with a wide range of people, doing something for them that make them feel and look great, all the while exercising her creative muscles. Czarina came to Joseph Cozza Salon as an apprentice and like her coworker Janelle, spent four years studying and practicing before getting the opportunity to perform services for clients at the Sports Club location, where she continues to work today. Czarina loves the clients she works with – she is a careful listener but is also generous in sharing ideas of her own with her clients. “We see a lot of members at the Sports Club whose hair tend to be in darker shades than best compliment their skin color.
